How will I know what items are available with Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL*)?

When you're purchasing from www.tesco.com/direct, selected items will be clearly marked with the BNPL offer where applicable.

At the payment screen you will then be prompted to tick a box to agree that you wish to use BNPL. By ticking this box and paying with your Tesco Credit Card you will automatically receive the BNPL offer.

When ordering over the phone, the Tesco member of staff at the end of the line will let you know if BNPL is available on the item you have selected. Your card and credit limit will then be validated.

What do I do if I need to return my product?

If the product you purchased from Tesco direct needs to be returned, please call 0845 600 44 11. Tesco will happily refund or exchange the item within 28 days of receipt provided it is returned as sold with all the original packaging, tags, labels and accessories.

Please have your invoice or delivery documents to hand and remember to make the Tesco staff member aware that this item was purchased with a BNPL offer to ensure the item is refunded correctly to your card account.

If I want to repay my BNPL offer before it expires, what do I do?

You can pay off all or part of your BNPL balance with your debit card by calling 0845 300 71 83 and specifically requesting to do so at any time and for no additional fee.

If you clear your full outstanding balance, any additional payments you may make will go towards any BNPL balance you may have on your account.

What will happen if I don't have enough credit available on my card? Can I still get BNPL?

No. BNPL forms part of your credit limit and you must have sufficient credit available on your Tesco Credit Card to benefit from BNPL.

What happens to my BNPL amount at the end of the BNPL period?

At the end of a BNPL period, the outstanding balance will automatically be treated as a normal purchase balance and charged at your standard purchase interest rate. The amount will, from then on, be included in your minimum payment calculation.

How will I know my BNPL item(s) on my credit card statement?

Your statements will show your BNPL balances separately within the Summary of Balances section and will alert you when your interest-free period is about to run out.

Do I earn Clubcard points on my BNPL?

Yes. You can collect Clubcard points as you would in store with the BNPL offer. You will also earn extra Clubcard points by purchasing the item on your Tesco Credit Card as per your current credit card points earn rate. Extra points are not applicable to the Tesco Bonus Credit Card.

Your statements will show your Buy Now Pay Later balances separately and will warn you when your interest free period is about to run out.
